Frequently Asked Questions

"There's usually an "inside" story to every "outside" behavior. Though we may not be able to know

that "inside story," there's generally some inner reason for what children do." Inspired by Fred Rogers

What is life coaching for kids?

Life coaching isn’t just for kids dealing with challenges or difficulties; it's about helping all kids unlock their full potential. It’s a journey of personal development and empowerment, preparing them to face any obstacles in the future. The skills they acquire will serve them for a lifetime!

How do I know if my child needs life coaching?

Just as a parent might hire a sports coach to help their child excel in athletics or a tutor to improve their performance in math, they can also hire a "life coach for kids" to assist their child in navigating common challenges of growing up, such as:

  • Struggling self-esteem

  • Waning self-confidence

  • Recovering from setbacks

  • Managing peer pressure

  • Finding direction, setting goals, and much more

Similar to how sports coaches and tutors equip children with the skills and knowledge to succeed in their respective fields, a life coach for kids empowers children to build the tools and mindset they need to understand themselves, their abilities, their goals, and their dreams. Teaching life skills early helps kids reach their goals more quickly.

How can coaching help?

When children have positive self-esteem and self-confidence, they believe in their abilities to handle challenges. This mindset helps them resist peer pressure and encourages them to take on challenges rather than be negatively affected by them.

What is the advantage to using stories to coach?

Stories are a powerful tool for sparking conversations with children. They help kids connect with their thoughts and emotions, and through these engaging tales, children can witness important skills in action, making it easier for them to apply those skills to their own lives. Stories have the ability to transform, inspire, and shape our self-perception, as well as expand our sense of what is possible in life.

Is there a difference in Life coaching and Counseling?

Both Coaching and Therapy serve very important roles in helping children develop healthy minds. Coaching is not therapy. Therapy primarily explores your thoughts and emotions, often looking at how they are shaped by your past experiences. While life coaching may briefly address these areas to help you challenge limiting beliefs and understand your personal blueprint, its main focus remains on the present and future. Our coaches do not provide diagnoses or medical treatment. Instead, they work to inspire kids to grow and reach the goals they aspire to achieve.
